John was born in Canada, raised in Seattle, and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration in 1968. After graduation, John joined the United States Air Force where he was a navigator who served in Vietnam. He held the rank of captain when he was discharged in 1973. He then graduated from the University of Puget Sound Law School where he was on their moot court team. After working as the Renton City Prosecutor, John joined our office in 1978. John started out doing family law and criminal defense, but now does primarily real estate, estate planning, business law, and family law. John has two children: Sean and Kyle, and lives with his wife Shelly in Chehalis. John is active in the community and currently serves on several different boards and commissions. He is past chairman of the Chehalis Planning Commission and currently the Chehalis Hearings Examiner. John is also a private pilot and scuba diver.
